BOĞAZİÇİ UNIVERSITY

APPLICATION TO UNDERGRADUATE PROGRAMS FOR INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS

Students who have graduated from high schools, lyceums or equivalent institutions and who satisfy the application criteria may apply to the undergraduate programs at Boğaziçi University. There is a predetermined number of places for foreign applicants to each of the undergraduate programs in our university.

WHO CAN APPLY?

Students who satisfy one of the following criteria may apply for admission to the undergraduate programs specified:

1. Students who have the minimum General Aptitude Score (Temel Öğrenme Becerileri Puanı) of YOS 2008 or 2009 required by the departments.

2. SAT (Reasoning Test): The minimum combined score of the “Math” and “Critical Reading” section is 1250 points out of a maximum score of 1600. However, the required minimum score for the Math section is 680 out of 800. (The SAT taken after July 24, 2007 are valid.)


Important Notes:

1.Boğaziçi University is the only responsible institution for the evaluation and acceptance of applicants to Boğaziçi University. It is free to fill the projected openings and cannot under any circumstances be held accountable. To have achieved the minimum requirements for admission, therefore, does not necessarily guarantee acceptance.

2. Turkish-Cypriots and those holding dual citizenship with the Republic of Turkey cannot apply to Boğaziçi University as international candidates.

3.Students applying to Turkish language and Literature and Department of Translation and Interpreting Studies with ‘C’ in YOS Turkish Section will have to take an additional Turkish exam.
