The University Infirmary houses a polyclinic and dental
clinic staffed by specialists in various branches of medicine to meet
the health needs of the students and personnel of the University.
The Infirmary is staffed with a specialist in internal medicine, a pediatrician,
two family doctors, two general practitioners, a laboratory technician,
six nurses, and two health officers. Examinations, laboratory tests, vaccinations,
small surgical procedures, wound dressing, injections, IV applications,
and observation are among the services offered.
The polyclinic within the Infirmary provides services from 8:30 - 17:00
every week day. To take advantage of this service, patients must first
fill out a examination request form available at the entrance of the Dental
clinic and submit it to the Infirmary.
Important Note:
On the decision of YOK, with the abolition of the student transfer, with the
exception of emergencies and students without social health insurance,
students may not transfer to the highest levels of health service organizations
for procedures that cannot be undertaken at the Infirmary.
For this reason, all new students must provide proof that they are covered
by their parent's social health insurance (SSK, Bag-Kur, Emekli Sandigi).
If a student has no such coverage, he or she is required to provide a
document for each parent regarding their coverage. Students older than
25 who do not have social security must provide a document from these
health organizations stating they are not registered.
Dental Clinic :
Three dentists, two dental nurses provide general services with the exclusion
of surgical tooth extraction, orthodontia, and prosthetics. Patients fill
out and submit a Dental Examination Form, availible at the clinic entrance.
Services are provided by appontment after the first examination.
